I spent yesterday at the American School of Flower Design with Michael Gaffney the designer.
What a fun day creating 3 pieces!
Our first design was the English Mass in a glass cube vase.
White hydrangeas, yellow roses and pittisporum filled the vase perfectly.
Simple and classic!
The next design we learned was how to Collar our bouquets...
this was my favorite with a mixture of roses and greenery.
I love how tight and close together the bouquet is.
The rose hand tied bouquet took practice but is just so beautiful when finished,
especially after we wrapped the stems in pretty white satin ribbon and pearly pins.
It is the most popular Bridal Bouquet and I now know why. The combinations of flowers will always make a beautiful bouquet!
All of the roses and flowers we used were so pretty even in the 104 degree heat!
I learned so much and Michael is quite the character and very fun design teacher.
I can't wait to keep filling my house with beautiful bouquets I learned how to create in school!
