Feathering my nest...

Hpim1522
I thought I would share a few photos of my home. These are pictures of my very small living (sitting) room.
Please remember, I am an amateur photographer...the one photo of chest I tried to fiddle with and it turned out really orange YIKES! Oh well, maybe one day I will take a class on photography...not!
Hpim1523
Hpim1527The paint colors are teacup pink and hydrangea pink. It has been this color for a few years, very perky!

Sun blazing...

A fresh breeze up.

Burlingame Home Tour...

Tomorrow is the Burlingame Home Tour which features five homes depicting several architectural styles. Called the "Tract of Character", Burlingame represents pre-World War 1 suburban residential development. The neighborhood is full of beautiful Craftsman style homes among others. Burlingame will be celebrating their 100th year this next year and the homes are truly eye catching. I was asked to make a garden chair for one of the homes in the tour. ... the sidewalks of Historical Burlingame are a rosy, shabby, cottage-y sweet shade of pink too!Hpim1443_3

Under the Sun Garden Gals...

On Sunday, the garden gals enjoyed having Jane Pollock of Art Takes A Village, teach a class on transforming a regular clay pot into a beautiful art piece for the garden or home. She taught the art of decoupage and some altered art techniques...Hpim1437 it was so fun and relaxing. The girls really created some great pieces!

The Garden Gals meet the first sunday of the month (except for July, we will meet July 13th) and we are looking forward to another class from Jane, creating more altered art with a garden theme. We also learned about creating a Wildlife Habitat in our own backyards and what to provide in the way of food, shelter, water, etc. to keep attracting wildlife in our communities. The Backyard Wildlife Habitat program helps to educate people about the benefits, for both people and wildlife in creating and restoring natural landscapes. For information on Backyard Habitats go to www.nwf.org. Art, fun, food and laughs filled the day!

How does your little tiny garden grow...

Hpim1424
I am just beginning my love of mini succulents...such fun little shapes and sizes and colors, so I decided to pot a few in some fun containers. I also added a cute little duck with a blue bonnet on...a vintage teacup with the sweetest little bird on the handle...and a painted pot with a woodsey trellis. I almost wish I was small enough to walk around in them!

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day and lets not forget those that sacrifice themselves and their loved ones so we can be free!

Season is over, but what a fun season it was...

Well the girls got beat today 4-1, but played their hearts out. It was a cold blustery morning and lots of excitement filled the air...but it just did not go the Panther way! There's always next year and I know the girls that will be returning are determined to take it ALL THE WAY! Way to go girls on an exceptional season of hardwork and fantastic sportsmanship!Hpim1257
